Deal Finder searches live eBay inventory for listings priced below what comparable active listings ask. It runs in two modes and saves any search you like as a Hunt that emails you when new matches appear.

The two modes

Lots mode looks for vague, under-described group listings: 'box of vintage stuff', 'estate lot', a photo full of items with a four-word title. These are where value hides, because the seller has not told the search engine what they have. Any listing mode drops the vagueness requirement and looks for any listing that is underpriced against its comparables, which suits categories where items are described precisely and the opportunity is mispricing rather than obscurity.

What the score means

The score combines how far the asking price sits below the typical asking price of comparable active listings, how ambiguous the title is relative to what the photos show, the number of distinct items visible, and listing timing. It is a ranking signal for where to look first, not a valuation. Nothing in the score uses completed sale data, because this site does not have access to it.

Saved Hunts

Any filter set can be saved as a named Hunt. Hunts run on a schedule and email you the new matches, ranked by score, with a one-tap link that runs Lot X-Ray on the listing. Free accounts keep one active Hunt; Pro removes the limit.

What finds look like in practice

A typical lots-mode find is a listing titled with three generic words whose photos show a dozen separate identifiable items; X-Ray names the pieces it can see and assembles a floor value from their individual asking prices, which is frequently a multiple of the asking price for the group.

A typical any-listing find is a precisely titled single item listed well under what every comparable active listing asks — usually a seller who priced from memory rather than from the market.

A typical false positive is a listing whose photos look full but whose contents are damaged or incomplete; the condition and completeness wording is why X-Ray reports what it can see rather than promising what it is worth.
