Which LEGO themes have held value best?

Themes ranked by the median asking price of already-retired sets against their original retail price. Every figure shows the number of eligible sets behind it. Based on current asking prices for verified complete sets on active listings, not completed sales. Past asking-price movement is not a prediction of future value.

Methodology

A set is eligible when it has a confirmed retirement date, a known original retail price, at least 5 verified complete-set listings in the latest weekly snapshot, and has been retired for at least six months. Only verified complete sets count — parts, minifigures, instruction manuals, accessories and conflicting models are excluded. Medians are untrimmed: quartiles are shown so outliers stay visible. A theme needs at least 8 eligible sets before any median is published.
